Rogue Cinema Sleepover Girl – August 2014

Jannette Sepwa

All about Jannette:

Name: Jannette Sepwa

Age: Is only a number — I feel like I’m a 21 year old, with the knowledge of a 40 year old, and the spirit of an 8 year old.

Location: New Orleans, LA

Some of my favorite things: Laughing, being goofy, spending time with friends and family, good food, and date night with my fiancé.

Most people would be surprised to know that I: I was a quiet kid.

Hobbies / special skills: Dancing, home improvement projects and cooking. I also laugh — really loud.

Number of years acting / modeling: I’ve been acting since I was about 13 years old, and a story teller for as long as I can remember. My barbies had some amazing back stories!

Favorite genre(s) and or film(s): I appreciate all types of film, but if I had to pick a favorite genre — it would probably be dramas centered around family, followed very closely by comedies. I like to cry almost as much as I love to laugh.

Acting / modeling gigs that I’m the most proud of: My short film “…And a Bag of Chips!” which I wrote, produced and starred in. I got do what I love, with the people I love! Then I got to share our story and experience it with audiences. I get to do what most people only dream of, and I’m thankful everyday for all the blessings, opportunities, and relationships that have come into my life along my journey.

What I look for in a potential acting or modeling job: First and foremost a healthy, fun, and positive atmosphere! Secondly a great story or vision. If the director (or photographer) is excited about their project then I end up getting excited as well!

It was her passion for writing that lead her to write and produce her first film “…And a Bag of Chips!” The film premiered in Los Angeles at the Pan African Film Festival in January and then went on to win the Audience Choice Award for “Best Florida Production” at the Gasparilla International Film Festival this past Spring. Her passion for entertainment runs deep and she continues to explore every aspect of the business both in front of the camera and behind it never staying too far away from her home — the stage.
