Jericho Season 3 (2013) – By Jason S. Lockard

Jericho was originally a television series which aired on CBS, but due to low ratings it was canceled after its first season. Than because of a fan outcry, it was brought back for a 2nd season which added 7 more episodes than was cancelled again. Fans of the series were still unhappy so a comic book series was produced to continue the story.

The story of Jericho, follows the U.S. after nuclear bombs have detonated and now the country is now split. The ones responsible are closer than anyone imagines, and Robert Hawkins knows the truth which points directly to our own government. The residents of Jericho, Kansas, try to resume their normal lives, while everyone knows American Civil War is on the horizon.

Jericho Season 3 takes up almost immediately after the season 2 finale of the tv series. In this ‘season’ Jake Green and Robert Hawkins are in the safe haven of Texas with the last remaining bomb from the first attack. When they are contacted by John Smith, the mastermind behind the first strike. He is not looking to barter an agreement; he is seeking aid. As the Cheyenne army bears down on them, they must decide whether they should side with their former enemy to fight a greater one.

It is so awesome to see the TV show that I fell in love with continue on. This is all six issue of season 3 in one huge graphic novel. Dan Shotz and Robert Levine are working with the writing staff from the show, and I am so glad they are because each chapter in this graphic novel reads like one of the episodes and the artwork looks just like it was captures from the show. This is 140 pages of excitement that will have Jericho fans going ‘nuts’.

So if your a fan of the TV series Jericho, you have to continue the series with season 3. I highly recommend you head over to to learn more about this release.
