Lines (2012) – By Brian Morton

A period piece on a low budget that’s also a short film. Could you get anything more challenging??? I don’t think so. But, filmmaker Alexa Hann has managed it quite nicely!

Lines is the tale of two sisters in Victorian times. One sister is a writer, the other is pretty ill. As the writer completes her story, her sister becomes worse, and, in the end…well, I guess you’d have to see it.

Lines is a terrific little film. You’re never once pulled from the period by anything anachronistic. The acting is fantastic, the story is good and the ending is both poignant and hopeful!

I’m giving Lines 4 out of 4 cigars, just for the sheer talent it took to make this movie on a low budget and still make it a perfect period piece!
