Mold! (2013) – By Brian Morton

There was a time in the 70s when the Earth fought back. Whether it was big disaster movies, or giant insect or animal movies, it seemed that everything in nature wanted us dead. Well, a new movie from MVD takes us back to that time with something that hasn’t had a shot at us…yet. It’s called Mold!

In a secret government facility, someone is working on weaponizing a form of toxic mold. And it’s not just any mold, this is a super-fast growing, aggressive mold! So, when it’s accidentally set free, everyone in the facility finds themself fighting for their life against something that you can’t really hurt.

The real fun of Mold! is that it really feels like a throwback to those wonderful movies from the 70s, even going so far as to have some plot holes that you can drive a car through (why would I release this mold when I’m just down the hall?!?!) and leaving the ending open…just in case. There’s everything except a question mark at the end of the movie.

While it’s not for everyone, if you have a warm place in your heart for these terrifically bad movies from the 70s, then you’ll love Mold! I’m giving Mold! 3 out of 4 cigars, it’s not perfect, but it’s a ton of fun. Find out more and get a copy for yourself by heading over to
