Rogue Cinema Sleepover Girl – December 2009
All About Jennifer:
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Some of my favorite things:Family, activism, the ocean.
Most people would be surprised to know that I: was once a member of the Los Angeles Guardian Angels.
Hobbies / special skills: Acting, photography, writing, singing, politics.
Number of years acting / modeling: 20
Favorite genre(s) and or film(s): I love classic films – Casablanca, Sunset Boulevard, & East Of Eden are a few of my favorites. I also love dramas, such as Taxi Driver, The Constant Gardener, The Reader, Magnolia, etc…
Acting / modeling gigs that I’m the most proud of: I’ve acted in a lot of films, but am not sure there are any particular roles that I’m most proud of. I’m pretty critical of my work. I did have a lot of fun filming "Summer School." Who can resist playing a gun toting, knife wielding school teacher?
What I look for in a potential acting or modeling job: I read the script, look at the character and ask myself if I can bring anything to the role to make her interesting and memorable. I like to play characters with depth, and find flawed personalities much more interesting to play. For modeling, I like to do shoots at interesting locations with creative backgrounds. Cemeteries and bridges are always fun.
Jennifer Prettyman has worked in numerous feature films, shorts, TV shows, and music videos, both here in the Twin Cities and in Los Angeles. Some of her credits include, Wilding, Car Jack, Summer School, Come And Get Your Love, Midnight Motel, and Paper-Mache’.
