Rogue Cinema Sleepover Girl – November 2012
All about Mina:
Location: Henderson, Kentucky
Some of my favorite things: Scary movies, secrets, astrology, blood spatter, video games and horror comics.
Most people would be surprised to know that I: keep dice in my purse in case anyone ever wants to play Yahtzee.
Hobbies / special skills: Composing music, singing, writing, photography and hula-hooping.
Number of years composing music: I’ve been involved with music my entire life, but began focusing on it as a career since 2006.
Favorite genre(s) and or film(s): Horror, thriller and sci-fi.
Achievements that I’m the most proud of: Last year in a 6 month period, I was able to score my first short film and also appear in a music video for one of my original songs. I have worked with musicians all over the world in addition to contributing original music for a couple different independent film projects.
What I look for in a potential job: Freedom to be creative is the most important thing to me.
Short Film I Scored:
Mina Fedora is an independent vocalist and musician and composer. She is a genre chameleon who has used technology to bridge the gap between artists all over the world. She has worked with Rocket Empire (of Om Records) and rising hip hop star, Adil Omar, of Pakistan, their most recent collaborations featuring Everlast and Xzibit. After scoring a short film in late 2011, Mina realized creating music for film was something she wanted to pursue in addition to writing for other music-only projects. Currently, she is focusing on completing her first solo album, while also writing and singing for her side-project Bluish Loudly, a long-distance collaboration with guitarist, Michael JK of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She also sings for metal band, Prowler, in her regional area.
