Cindy Maples – October 2012

Rogue Cinema Sleepover Girl – October 2012

Cindy Maples

All about Cindy:

Name: Cindy Maples

Age: Old enough to know better, but still too young to care.

Location: Evansville, IN

Some of my favorite things: My husband Rusty James, my Doberman Raven and Cheese. Yes, cheese I am hopelessly addicted to it.

Most people would be surprised to know that I: am afraid of the dark. Like paralyzed with fear AFRAID!

Hobbies / special skills: My current hobbies all revolve around restoring our creepy old house. We recently had our home investigated for paranormal activity and I have discovered that I really enjoy this type of research and hope to do more in the future.

Number of years acting / modeling: Pretty sure I performed for the Doctor the day I was born.

Favorite genre(s) and or film(s): Horror of course, but I also love a good comedy.

Acting / modeling gigs that I’m the most proud of: Bloody Hooker Bang Bang: A Love Story; Wireface: In the Beginning…; Hell Is Full; and Widow

What I look for in a potential acting or modeling job: I always look for a way to challenge myself, but sometimes I am more interested in just being involved with a project that I really believe in and that I think people will want to see.

Other On-Line Projects:

WIREFACE In the Beginning

ELYSIAN

NIGHTWATCH Music Video Featuring Mina Fedora

Casting contact: Cindy Maples

Bio:  Some of my credits include roles in movies such as WIDOW (2009), where I play the lead role of Vivian Potts, who is haunted by disturbing dreams of her recently deceased husband. In HELL IS FULL (2010), I play Olivia, the sexy wife of a doctor who finds love in the wrong place at the wrong time. And I played Emily in THE CREEPY DOLL (2011) released last year. All 3 movies made by Big Biting Pig Productions are available at www.bigbitingpigproductions.com.

More recently I starred in the short film WIREFACE: In the Beginning (see link above), which premiered at this year’s Derby City Film Festival in Louisville. Kristofer and Ashley Rommel still have plans of expanding WIREFACE into a full-length feature and are currently working on financing to make that happen. The story so far and all the elements can be found on the website http://www.thewireface.com and also on Facebook.

I was also recently involved in a very artfully-crafted short film entitled ELYSIAN (see link above) which I absolutely loved. Lewis Chaney and Neil Kellen at Keychain-Productions invited me to work on this wonderful project and I couldn’t be more proud; it is such a remarkable testament to their talent. February of this year saw the release of Mina Fedora’s NIGHTWATCH (see link above), a music video that tells a ghostly story, and once again teamed me back up with Lewis and Neil and was shot almost exclusively in my creepy old house.

2012 will hopefully be the year for the release of THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE. The Birthday Massacre is about Jonathon, who on his seventh birthday found himself dressed as a clown, a knife in his hand, and his mother’s abusive boyfriend dead at his feet.  Ten years later, the schizophrenic Jonathon is reunited with his only surviving relatives… just days before his seventeenth birthday. I play Mary Clark, his aunt and only advocate, and I’ve invited him to come and live with the only family he has left. The director, Kenny White (White Hair Productions) and the producers, Keith and Laura Parker (Tornspace Films, LLC) have seen the first cut of the film and are extremely proud of it! – http://www.thebirthdaymasscre.com

One of the most creative and exciting projects I have worked on in a long time was released this summer on The Collective V. 4. BLOODY HOOKER BANG BANG: A Love Story directed by Jakob Bilinski, is just a good old fashioned Grindhouse short that takes excessive violence to a whole new AWESOME level. The short film was made in conjunction with DP Bonnell’s Happy Hooker Bang Bang and both films will be released later this year in an extended version. Keep your eyes open for these; you do NOT want to miss them! For more information, pictures and reviews of BHBB visit them on Facebook here.

I will soon appear in an episode of the web series THE BOOK DALLAS, created by Joe Atkinson; it will be coming out in the next few weeks and can be seen on Koldcast TV. You can see all the episodes right here. I recently wrapped on a short film called THE DREAM JOB by Romeo’s Foe Studios and Karmic Courage Productions that is due for release in March 2013. This is one of those projects that as soon as I read the concept I knew I wanted to be involved on any level.

As the year comes to a close I will be slaying some demons in a film by Director Matt Ferguson of Rowdy Films called DEMONS LAIR. This is a feature film about a Halloween party that goes horribly wrong when a couple accidentally unleash a demon from Hell using an Ouija Board. And as a bit of a departure for me, I’m playing the role of a nurse in the comedy WAR GROOMS directed by Mark Clem. Set during the last days of the Second World War, WAR GROOMS focuses on the journey of a down-on-his-luck soldier who marries the “old maid” sister of his buddy’s girlfriend. For more information on this film please visit their Facebook page. I have also signed on to do two projects with the creative team at Broke Filmmaker Studios in Cincinnati, OH. The first one is called BLACK and will be the first story in a trilogy and the second feature film will is titled LIFE IS WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SEX. And finally I will team up with Directors PJ Starks and Jakob Bilinski in a horror film that they are currently keeping under wraps until the right time, but as PJ says “it’s gonna kick peoples ass!” Also, I’m currently signed on to do a cameo role in P.J. Stark’s movie, MY HORROR PROJECT, which will shoot in 2013.

I would like to take this opportunity to THANK Rogue Cinema, the support that has been shown to me over the years is overwhelming and it’s great to have such wonderful people showing their love to the world of Indie film! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
