Simple Mind (2012) – By Brian Morton

The mind of a killer can be a very dark place. There have been quite a few movies that ‘take us inside the mind of a serial killer’, but never anything quite like Simple Mind from Phil Newsom.

Simple Mind is the story of a man who’s in therapy, he’s there to tell his story, and it’s quite a story. He’s fallen in love with a girl, he’s found happiness and he’s killed. That’s right, he a killer and he’s a bit proud of it, and it’s something he’s good at. But, as the story unfolds, there’s a bit more to it than what he’s telling us. What more? Well, you’ll have to see it for yourself to believe it!

Simple Mind is anything but a simple movie; it’s short but complex and, in the end, wonderfully twisted! I’m giving Simple Mind 4 out of 4 cigars just for the ending that I never saw coming! You can check it out for yourself by heading over to
