Star Trek: The City on the Edge of Forever #3 (2014) – By Jason S. Lockard

Trekkies love Harlan Ellison’s episode of the original Star Trek ‘The City on the Edge of Forever’. But what we saw on the screen was not his original vision. Now for the first time ever we can see his vision in this new series of comic books from IDW Publishing. This month issue #3.

In issue #3 Kirk and Spock find themselves stranded in the past of old Earth. They are searching for point in history that altered the time stream and changed everything in the universe. Spock finds the person that must be sacrificed to bring order back! There is only one problem—love!

The darker and gritty teleplay continues getting better and better with each issue! The writing of Scott and David Tipton belongs right in the classic TV series. Then there is the classical art work of J.K. Woodward it is just stellar. Issue #3 is really gaining the steam and I can’t wait for issue #4 and than the finale.

If you love the original Star Trek and you haven‘t check out this series yet, I have one question to ask! What are you waiting for?! I highly recommend you head over to and find out how to get your copy today! This is just a great series!
