Star Trek: The City on the Edge of Forever #5 (2014) – By Jason S. Lockard

Harlan Ellison’s episode of the original Star Trek ‘The City on the Edge of Forever’ is filled with action adventure and romance, but we didn’t see his original vision. IDW Publishing has been releasing a Star Trek mini-series based on this classic episode. Now issue #5 bring a conclusion to this epic story.

In issue #5 Captain James T. Kirk is used to making the tough decisions, but is he willing to sacrifice the woman he loves to set everything back to order in the universe? That’s the million dollar question!

This darker and gritty teleplay draws to its climactic conclusion! The writing of Scott and David Tipton along with the art work of J.K. Woodward has made this mini-series something very special. I loved every issue and it’s sad to see it end, but I can read the issues over and over again.

If you missed out on these issues go pick them up or I have read that IDW will be releasing the entire run of this epic story in one big book in early 2015. That would make a great addition to a fans collection. I highly recommend you head over to and find out how to get your copy today! This is just a great series!
