The Hit Girl (2013) – By Brian Morton

When it comes to ‘switched bodies’ movies, I thought I had seen it all. Well, a new movie, The Hit Girl, really made me rethink my opinion and made me actually enjoy a ‘switched bodies’ movie.

The story here is about Bill, a contract killer who tries to only kill bad people. When he’s staying with his sister and niece, he accidentally touches an artifact that turns him into a teenaged girl. Now, he’s not only got to fulfill his contract, but he’s got to do it as a teenaged girl!!!

The Hit Girl is a movie that, when I read the back, I was sure I was going to be bored with, but, while watching it, I couldn’t help but be drawn in! The actors are all great, the story is interesting and moves quickly and it’s full of laughs. I can’t tell you how wrong I was to think I’d be bored by this movie, and you won’t be either. Don’t think that you’re going to be seeing Freaky Friday with guns, because what you’ve got here is a funny movie with an interesting ending!

I’m giving The Hit Girl 4 out of 4 cigars, it’s one of those rare indie movies that I actually hope gets a sequel, I’d love to see where these characters might go next. Do yourself a favor and head over to and grab a copy for yourself!
