The Twilight Zone Season 4 (1962-1963) – By Jason S. Lockard

"You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension, a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into the Twilight Zone." I received Image Entertainment’s release of The Fourth Season of The Twilight Zone and I’ve been waiting for this one!

The fourth season of The Twilight Zone had 18 memorable hour long episodes. Yeah you heard me right. After three successful seasons the network listened to Rod Serling, who had been campaigning an increase and they finally agreed, but it proved disastrous. Ratings were terrible and the move was scraped.

The fourth season featuring stars such as Bill Bixby, Burgess Meredith, Burt Reynolds, Dennis Hopper, Jack Klugman, Jack Weston, James Best, Ann Jillian, Anne Francis, James Whitmore, Martin Balsam, Robert Duvall and more! Some of the best episodes of this season include; ‘He’s Alive’ Peter Vollmer, a small-time neo-Nazi leader, yearns for more power. Advised by a shadowy figure, Vollmer’s following starts to grows. ‘Miniature’ A lonely man falls in love with a mini museum doll, which he believes is alive. ‘Deathship’ A three-man spacecraft lands on a planet only to discover the wreckage of a spacecraft identical to their own. ‘Printer’s Devil’ Douglas Winter’s paper, The Courier, is in financial trouble. Mr. Smith appears and offers to pay off the debts, he soon regrets the decision, because there is something evil about Mr. Smith.

While this 5 disc DVD set has no bonus features, you get 18 full unedited hour episodes in pristine quality and the DVD menus are just beautiful. Who could ask for anything more?

So if you love The Twilight Zone as much as I do. You know you have to own the fourth season and at just $29.98 it’s more than reasonable. So head over to www.WatchImage.com or your local DVD provider and get your copy today.
