The Watchman (2008) – By Brian Morton

When I saw in my inbox a movie called The Watchman, I don’t know why, but I expected some kind of film about a security guard. Well, I have to tell you, I couldn’t have been more wrong, and I couldn’t have been happier to have been wrong! The Watchman is a short film that is one of the best I’ve seen!

While it’s short, The Watchman is a great story about OCD and how it can help a killer. When a man, who’s part of the neighborhood watch, takes his commitment too far, he decides that someone who doesn’t take it as seriously as he does needs to be eliminated. The particular offense is not taking your garbage out at the right time, and the punishment is harsh, shocking and great entertainment!

Michael Anthony Horrigan has crafted a short film that really made me want to see more. I won’t give it all away, because this is a movie that really deserves your attention, you can check it out for yourself by heading over to the Watchman page of the More Cowbell Pictures web page. I’m giving The Watchman four out of four cigars, because I can’t wait to see what Mr. Horrigan comes up with next, or to see if he’ll give us some more ‘adventures’ of The Watchman. It’s a movie that you’ll want more of too! So, until next time, when I’ll be taking my garbage out on time, remember that the best movies are bad movies.
