Wrestling Video Magazine: Spring 1981 (1981) – By Jason S. Lockard

Wrestling is one part sport one part entertainment and when done right there is very little that can out do them. In Memphis Wrestling the melted the entertainment and sport to a fever pitch.

Jadat Sports releases another collection of old tv matches from Memphis wrestling. On this collection we see such stars that made it to the big time of New York City and the than World Wrestling Federation. Such stars as Jerry “The King” Lawler, Koko B. Ware, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, Jim Cornette and Jimmy Hart.

There are 10 matches on this collection from the Spring of 1981. The stand out is the feud between Jerry Lawler and Jimmy Valiant. There are many great tag matches as well as a tar and feather match between Lawler and Dream Machine. Plus a very special bonus of a Jackie Fargo music video.

This was a highly enjoyable collection of interviews and matches from Spring of 1981 in Memphis Wrestling. While the quality of the videos do lack definition it’s not so bad that you can’t enjoy it.
