When you hear the title ‘Zombie and Horror Collection‘ you figure your in for a good bit of terrifying entertainment! That’s what made me want this collection so desperately! So let’s take a look at what’s included in this collection.
Our Rating System:
****=Don’t Miss it!
***=Worth a look.
**=An Ok way to spend an evening.
*=You haven’t missed anything.
Horror Hotel: A young female student travels to Whitewood Massachusetts to do some research into witchcraft. In the town resides a reincarnated witch burned at the stake in the 17th century; but in order to sustain her immortality, virgins must be sacrificed every year, and guess who’s next? ***
Night of the Living Dead: I don’t think we even have to go into great detail here. The father of the zombie genre brings us the first and best of the dead films. ****
The Hills Have Eyes: Director Wes Craven brought us the tale of a family on their way to California. When their car breaks down in an area that is inhabited by violent savages and these psychos are ready to attack. **
While this collection is awesome I have some issues here. Number 1 they listed four films and yet there is only three. What happened to Crypt of Horror? Than number 2 on The hills have eyes, the movie has spanish subtitles. Now it’s not selected subtitles it’s on the film and can’t be taken off. For me that was really distracting.
The audio and video are very clean! The DVD menus are easy to access, but for me the disappointment in missing 1 film and the subtitles on The Hills have eyes almost make the second disk not very good. Disk 1 is awesome and contains 2 great classic horror films. If you’d like to get 2 classic horror films for a little over 11 bucks head over to www.mvdb2b.com and get copy of this DVD!
